Approved by State Economic and Trade Committee and registered in Ministry of Civil Affairs, China Light Industry machinery Association was officially found on March 1989.

CLIMA has its current memberships of about 800, who are manufacturing enterprises, local light industry machinery associations and corporations, scientific research & design as well as education institutes in China.

There presently 13 branches under CLIMA as below: paper machinery, brew & beverage machinery, dairy machinery, detergent machinery, cloth machinery, ceramic machinery, leather machinery, machinery blade, furniture machinery, education. In addition CLIMA also plays a very active role in the field of plastic machinery, hardware machinery, food machinery, package machinery and vending machinery etc.

CLIMA works as a link between the government and the members, and also the members and market, assists the government in administration, and provides information and services to its members, users of light industry machinery and the government.

CLIMA highlights the cooperation with related associations, manufacturers and other partners worldwide, to promote mutual development.
